Zero carbon burden. In clinching a rivet-like joint is produced from the overlapping material sheets and profiles. The clinch joint can be rectangular or round. As no added fasteners are involved in clinching, a clinching tool typically replaces more than one million screws per year, which means that the carbon emissions from the fabrication of 5-10 tons of screws can be avoided.
