Strength data are given as orientation on the diagrams to the right, expressed in inches and pounds of force, upper diagram, as well as in millimeters and kilonewtons, middle diagram.
The lower diagram illustrates the importance of the rule known as Thick-in-Thin when the overlapping layers do not have the same thickness. As the diagram shows, the strength is higher when the thicker layer is on the punch side.
